ZACHRY INSURANCE FINAL EXPENSE PLANNER

Estimate Your Final Expense Funding Gap.

Instead of starting with an insurance quote, start with the expenses your family may actually face. Add funeral costs, burial or cremation, debts, medical bills, and family assistance, then subtract savings and coverage already available.

01

Estimate the need

Enter rough planning amounts for the final expenses that matter to you.

02

Count what is already available

Include savings, existing life insurance, and other money specifically available for these expenses.

03

See the difference

The planner compares estimated needs with existing resources and shows a possible funding gap or surplus.

Your numbers stay in this browser while you calculate. They are only sent to Zachry Insurance if you choose to submit the consultation form after viewing your result.

Build your estimate

Use exact amounts if you know them or simple rough estimates if you are still planning. Leave anything that does not apply at $0.

1 Estimated final expenses

Service, facility, officiant, flowers, transportation, notices, or similar costs.

Cremation, casket or urn, burial plot, opening and closing, marker, or related costs.

Credit cards, personal loans, or other obligations you want included in the plan.

A planning amount for medical bills or other end-of-life costs you want the family to consider.

Travel, time away from work, temporary living costs, or money you would want available to family.

Any other expense you intentionally want included in this planning estimate.

2 Resources already available

Savings or cash you expect would realistically be available for these expenses.

Enter only coverage you believe is currently in force. If you are unsure, use $0 and review the policy later.

Other money specifically available for the expenses included above.

WHAT THE NUMBER MEANS

A funding gap is a planning number, not a coverage recommendation.

The planner simply adds the expenses you entered and subtracts the resources you entered. A positive difference is shown as an estimated funding gap. If resources are greater than estimated expenses, the planner shows the estimated surplus instead.

This can help you prepare better questions before speaking with an insurance professional. It does not determine how much life insurance you should buy or whether a particular policy is suitable.
